Questions people ask before signing up

Is the free plan really free?
Yes. Puppy gives you 3 monitors, 1 status page and email alerts for free, forever. No credit card required — you only pay if you upgrade to WatchDog or BigDog.
What counts as a "monitor"?
One thing being checked: a URL, an API endpoint, a hostname/port, a DNS record, an SSL certificate, or a cron job heartbeat. Group monitors that only roll up other monitors don't count.
How fast will I know when something is down?
Checks run as often as every 5 minutes on Puppy, 3 minutes on WatchDog and every minute on BigDog. Alerts go out the moment a check fails, with retries so a single blip doesn't page you.
Which alert channels are supported?
Email alerts are built in on every plan and SMS on paid plans. Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, PagerDuty, Telegram, Splunk and generic webhooks are available on every plan — see all integrations.
Can my whole team use it?
Yes. Invite teammates into your organization as viewers, editors or admins (the owner keeps billing control). WatchDog includes 3 seats, BigDog 10 — pricing is per organization, not per user.
Can I cancel or change plans later?
Any time, from the billing portal in your dashboard. Downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period; there are no contracts.
